A payout that does not look right can be frustrating. One clear pay-period check is often easier than trying to solve every concern at once.

Platform work produces lots of data and very little context. A weekly deposit may not explain a disputed offer, incentive, tip, adjustment, toll or expense. Preserve the underlying screens while they are still available.

Keep completed-offer information where available, weekly earnings summaries, deposits, incentive screens, customer-support messages, toll receipts, mileage logs and expense records. Separate three questions: what the platform showed before the delivery, what the completed-delivery record showed, and what was actually paid. Those are not always the same document.

An algorithmic decision or disappointing offer is not automatically a wage claim. Dashers are generally contractors, and legal classification rules vary. But a clear record can support a platform inquiry, tax preparation, a contractual dispute or a state-specific review.

Avoid sending a support request that mixes five unrelated weeks. Start with one trip or one payout period. State the date, offer or payment shown, amount received and the record attached. Keep a copy of the submission.

Caira can create a trip-and-payment evidence table from earnings exports and screenshots. It should not be used to guess tax liability or fabricate mileage records.

Example: an incentive missing from a weekly deposit

A Dasher completes the deliveries shown in a promotion, sees an incentive screen, then receives a smaller weekly deposit than expected. The first step is to separate the promotion terms, completed deliveries, adjustments and deposit. A screenshot of an offer alone may not explain the final payout, but it belongs beside the weekly statement and the support reply.

A practical next move

  • Keep the offer screen and dates of the promotion.

  • Export or screenshot the completed deliveries for that period.

  • Compare the weekly statement with the actual bank deposit.

  • Raise one defined payout question and save the case number.

Clear records also make year-end tax preparation less painful.

Reconcile one pay period

Earnings screens can combine base pay, tips, promotions and adjustments. Start with one week or promotion. If an offer required 15 deliveries, save its dates and conditions before it disappears, then compare qualifying deliveries with the weekly statement and bank deposit.

A good request identifies the mismatch and amount, rather than simply saying earnings are wrong. Keep mileage and expense records separately for tax purposes; a payout dispute file is not a complete tax ledger.

Keep the next conversation narrow

When a workplace record is messy, a broad accusation can make it harder to get a useful answer. Lead with the small set of facts that can be checked now. Ask for the disputed pay period. Then ask for the offer terms and completed deliveries. Finally, confirm the support case number and exact amount requested.

That sequence does not concede the wider issue. It simply makes the first response measurable. Save a copy of the question, the reply and any attachment. If the answer changes later, the record will show exactly what was said and when.

  • Use dates and job details, not conclusions.

  • Keep originals before annotating copies.

  • Escalate urgent health or safety risks promptly.
